Meet The Intern Johanna
February 12, 2014
My name is Johanna Westcott and I am the newest intern at Aigner/Prensky Marketing Group. I am a senior at Regis College where I am majoring in Public Relations and double minoring in business management and dance. I’m so thrilled that I have been given this hands-on learning opportunity for my last semester!
I fell in love with public relations after just the first day in my Introduction to P.R. course sophomore year, and immediately decided to change my major. This was the first time I could confidently say I knew what I wanted to be when I “grew up” because I could just fine-tune a quality that I already possess: I am a people person! I have a life goal to make the world a better place, and I can’t think of a better way to start than with public relations.
I am having such a great time interning so far. Being from Plymouth, I was especially excited when I found out that The Pinehills is a client of Aigner/Prensky. I cannot believe that I will have the chance to help out with some the events at one of the coolest spots in my town. Other clients that I will have the privilege of working with include Maine Huts & Trails, Mount Auburn Hospital, American Camp Association, New England and Food Truck Festivals of New England.
When I am not interning, I manage to keep very busy. At school I am the student director of the Dance Company as well as the student Coordinator of the tour guide club for the Admission office. In my downtime I enjoy crocheting and exercising, and of course spending time with my friends and family. I have a passion for traveling. Most recently, I took a trip through France, Italy, and Switzerland this summer to trace the roots of the Sisters of Saint Joseph (the founders of Regis College).
I am looking forward to the rest of my semester here at Aigner/Prensky, and I am so eager to learn absolutely everything that they have to show me! Everyone here is so kind and welcoming. I am just hoping that I will soon be as helpful to them as they have been to me so far!
